Maggie Maxwell

Maggie grew up between New Zealand and rural Scotland, where a childhood surrounded by horses and wildlife sparked a lifelong passion for the natural world. After completing an MSc in Marketing, she joined Aardvark Safaris, combining strategic marketing with first-hand travel experience to bring Africa’s extraordinary wildlife, landscapes and cultures to life.

Maggie has travelled across southern and eastern Africa, from exploring Namibia’s vast desert landscapes and gliding through Botswana’s Okavango Delta by mokoro to witnessing Victoria Falls in full flood and trekking chimpanzees in Rwanda’s Nyungwe National Park.

One of her favourite destinations is Gonarezhou National Park in southern Zimbabwe, where unforgettable encounters with leopard, lion and African wild dog, without another vehicle in sight, captured the sense of wilderness that makes Africa so unique. Experiences like these inspire her passion for communicating authentic content that showcases the continent’s remarkable destinations while supporting responsible, conservation-led tourism.
