Semliki Safari Lodge

Semliki Safari Lodge has a lovely setting on the side of a forested valley in Toro-Semliki National Park in the Albertine Rift, surrounded by the Rwenzori Mountains, and the eastern and western Albertine Rift escarpments. The lodge has lawns running down to the forest edge, and birds and monkeys are often seen in the garden.

Accommodation & Facilities
Semliki Safari Lodge has eight big safari tents under thatched roofs, with gauze sides to allow air flow and big en-suite bathrooms. Every tent has a verandah with easy chairs and good views of the forest, and the two suites have outside baths. Four tents provide sunrise views with the eastern rift escarpment, while the other four showcase sunset views over the forest, Rwenzori Mountains, and the western Albertine Rift escarpment in DRC. The open-sided main lodge is perched on a hill overlooking the forest canopy, with hand-carved tables, timber floors. The communal spaces include a lounge, bar, dining area, library, and a swimming pool, all with forest views.

Wildlife & Activities
Toro Semliki National Park has the Albertine Rift’s extraordinary level of biodiversity with grassland, savannah, lake, and forest habitats. Guest can enjoy wildlife drives on the savannah, walking safaris, searching for shoebills on boat cruises on Lake Albert, searching for rare forest elephants, excellent birdwatching, and participating in the Semliki Chimpanzee Project. The National Park has nearly 500 bird species, including endemics and the iconic shoebill, make it a birdwatcher’s paradise.
