Nehimba Lodge

Overlooking a well-used pan, Nehimba Lodge is in a private concession in the northern sector of Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest and most prolific wildlife reserve.

Accommodation and Facilities
The accommodation at Nehimba Lodge consists of seven tents built on raised Zambezi teak decks, and shaded by thatch. The tents have a spacious bedroom, an en-suite bathroom with a flush loo and a hot shower, and a viewing deck for enjoying the wildlife that comes to drink at the pan. The main lodge building, which shares the view, is also built under a thatched roof, and houses a bar, dining room, and a lounge, with a swimming pool on its own deck.

Wildlife and Activities
Thanks to its location on the divide between two major soil types, Nehimba has Kalahari grasslands to one side and mopani woodland at the other. This allows for varied and excellent wildlife viewing, with many elephant, plentiful plains species such as giraffe, zebra, eland, roan and sable, along with buffalo, lion and cheetah. The fortunate may also see leopard and perhaps rhino, although they are very scarce here. Nehimba Lodge activities include wildlife drives, night drives on the concession, and walking safaris.
