Tawana Camp

Shaded by towering ebony and sausage trees, Tawana has a superb location in southeast of Moremi Game Reserve, overlooking the perennial Gomoti River and its wildlife-rich floodplains. This is a landscape shaped by shifting water levels, where seasonal lagoons and winding channels sustain large herds of elephant and buffalo. The reserve’s mosaic of riverine forest, open grassland, and mopane woodland supports remarkable biodiversity, making Tawana a wonderful base for exploring one of Botswana’s best wildlife regions.

Accommodation & Facilities
Tawana has large eight suites, positioned for privacy and views across the plains, with a spacious living area, cooling over the beds, a private deck with a plunge pool, and shaded outdoor seating. The decor draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape, combining organic textures with contemporary safari style. The camp’s communal areas include an inviting lounge, indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a library, and a boma. Guests can unwind in the spa, stay active in the gym or lap pool, and enjoy Tawana’s hospitality.

Wildlife & Activities
Tawana offers morning and afternoon wildlife drives in open vehicles, tracking predators such as lion, leopard, and wild dog, alongside vast herds of elephant, buffalo, and various antelope species. The Gomoti River attracts an array of birdlife, with over 400 species recorded. Optional helicopter flights reveal the intricate waterways of the Okavango Delta from above.
