Mbamba

Mbamba is a tented camp in a 220,000 hectare private concession in the northern reaches of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Set beneath leadwood trees in a remote and unspoiled area, it offers excellent year-round wildlife viewing.

Accommodation & Facilities
Designed in a classic safari style, Mbamba has 12 air-conditioned canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms and private verandahs. A large central mess tent has two lounges and a well-stocked bar, a dining room with a big table, and a swimming pool. Meals are often eaten outside, under the stars or in the shade of the trees.

Wildlife & Activities
The concession is home to lion, leopard, spotted hyena, elephant, and a huge herd of buffalo. Guests can also expect to see giraffe, serval, caracal, aardwolf, and a variety of antelope and zebra. Activities include day and night wildlife drives, and mokoro excursions if water levels permit. The camp’s guiding team, trained by Ralph Bousfield, ensures a high-level of guiding throughout all of the activities.
