Spier Hotel
The Spier Hotel has a spacious riverside setting in South Africa’s Winelands, part way between Cape Town and the historic town of Stellenbosch. The hotel is centred around an old Cape Dutch farmstead, and sits amongst large expanses of vineyards and farmland on one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms.
Accommodation & Facilities
Spier Hotel has 153 rooms, all relatively simple but elegantly and tastefully decorated, and arranged around six courtyards spread out amongst the old farm buildings. The rooms all have en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, a mini bar, a tv and a safe. The hotel has several options for family accommodation, with the larger suites working especially well. A significant feature of the hotel is the large number of original artworks on display in the public spaces and individual rooms. The hotel has several restaurants including the fine dining Spier Restaurant, the farm-shop style Eight, and the Vadas Smokehouse and Bakery. There is a kids club, and a pool in each of the courtyards.
Experience & Activities
Spier Estate has numerous walking trails through the vineyards and farmland, a craft centre, and picnics, bike trails, Segway tours, and wine tasting are among the options for things to do here.
