Garonga MCH Tented Camp

This small exclusive-use tented camp has a lovely peaceful location in the Makalali Private Game Reserve not far from the Kruger National Park. The camp is perched on top of a small hill and has great views of wilderness and the Drakensberg Mountains to the west.

Accommodation & Facilities
MCH Camp has four big air-conditioned safari tents with en-suite bathrooms with outside showers and baths. The tents have a minibar, lounge space, and a large shaded deck with chairs. The camp has a large mess tent with a dining room, lounge and bar, and a camp fire, outside dining boma, and a lovely pool. Guests can also enjoy a spa, a free-standing bush bath, and a sleep-out deck, which can be pre-booked.

Wildlife and Activities
The wildlife in Makalali is excellent, and safaris with experienced and knowledgeable guides in an open vehicle are an ideal way to see elephant, leopard, rhino, buffalo and lion, cheetah, spotted hyenas, wild dogs, hippos, crocodiles, diverse plains animals, and colourful and varied birdlife. Bush walks are also offered and are a wonderful way to experience the wilderness on a different level.
