Camp Chitubu

Camp Chitubu sits on a ridge overlooking a natural spring in the northern Sinamatella region of Hwange National Park. This spectacular site is surrounded by Zimbabwe’s finest wildlife, which often comes to drink at the spring.

Wildlife & Activities
Hwange National Park is a wonderful wildlife habitat, but the water supply is a challenge for the huge numbers of elephant and herds of buffalo. Camp Chitubu is perched above a spring and is also just 2km from Mandavu Dam, the most significant water source in the park, which offers guests the chance to see amazing amounts of wildlife year round, including lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog, giraffe, and plentiful antelope. The activities on offer include superb walking safaris and day and night wildlife drives with some of Africa’s best guides.

Accommodation & Facilities
Camp Chitubu has six double tents and a family tent with two bedrooms. The tents have floor to ceiling gauze windows, en-suite bathrooms with flush loos and powerful showers, and plenty of storage space. The camp has a big open plan mess tent with a dining table, lounge, and bar, and a firepit outside. The camp has a wonderful view of a spring and salt lick down below.
