Akademie Street

Akademie Street Guest House is an historic property in Franschhoek, the heart of South Africa’s fabled winelands, which includes some of the oldest Cape Dutch buildings in the area. Despite being just a few minutes walk from the centre of this lovely village, Akademie Street has a very peaceful setting.

Accommodation & Facilities
The property has seven beautifully designed and lavishly equipped suites. Three are in the main buildings, while the others are in the three cottages. Families are well catered for with two of the cottages having two suites, and all of them having private plunge pools. The rooms all have a blend of Cape antiques and contemporary furnishings, and up to date features such as under floor heating and coffee machines. The guest house has a larger heated swimming pool, well stocked gardens, and a lovely vine-covered terrace over looking the courtyard, where breakfast and sundowners are served.
