Dorp Hotel is a quirky and charismatic property discreetly perched above Bo-Kaap, high on the slopes of Signal Hill, with views from the rooftop stretching from the Waterfront to Table Mountain. The hotel is a collection of Georgian-inspired buildings dotted with trees and gardens, and has a variety of room types, a lounge, cafe, patio, and swimming pool, and idiosyncratic decor.

The Dorp has 38 individually designed and decorated rooms in two different parts of the property, including suites with private pools and kitchens, small rooms tucked away at the top of long, thin staircases, or cavernous studios with terraces, roof gardens, backyards, and front stoeps; rooms with private steam rooms and even the “worst room in the house,” with the prettiest wallpaper on earth, a small courtyard but no view whatsoever; the greenhouse suite with a gorgeous terrace, or the Dorp suite, leading out onto the roof garden with the greatest view. The heart of the hotel is the Salon, a large and inviting space where meals, books, games, and conversations may be enjoyed.
