Eagles Crag Lodge
Eagles Crag Lodge has a super setting on Shamwari Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, one the most successful conservation projects in Southern Africa. Shamwari is 20,000 hectares of malaria-free land, home to a range of animals and bird life.
Accommodation & Facilities
Eagles Crag has nine rooms with private decks and plunge pools, an en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers, and a Nespresso machine. The main lodge has a downstairs lounge with billiard table, fireplace and a big screen TV, and an upstairs lounge with a bar and fireplace opening onto a deck and aerial pods. The relaxation retreat with a steam room, sauna, and a fitness suite is the perfect place to unwind.
Wildlife & Activities
Shamwari is renowned for its conservation work, and guests can visit the reserve’s animal rehabilitation centre, hospital, and education centre. It has a wide variety of animals including lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo, which can be seen on wildlife drives and walking safaris. The bird life is also excellent thanks to the varied habitats.
