Horizon by Ongava

Horizon by Ongava sits on the spine of a rocky dolomite hill in the heart of the 30,000 hectare Ongava Game Reserve. Ongava borders the Etosha National Park in northern Namibia, one of Africa’s largest wildlife reserves.

Accommodation & Facilities
Horizon by Ongava has three luxurious and very private air-conditioned villas, with a large bathroom, bedroom and living area, all facing south across the plains and hills of the reserve.  The rooms have a bar, a fridge, and a coffee machine, as well as their own small library.  Outside each villa is a shaded sun deck with a private plunge pool.  A raised wooden walkway meanders through the rocks from the villa to the beautifully designed dining room and bar, which has views of the waterhole.

Wildlife & Activities
Guests at Horizon by Ongava are provided with private safari guides and vehicles. A typical morning activity at Horizon by Ongava is a wildlife drive into Etosha National Park, and afternoons are spent searching for lion, black and white rhino, and other wildlife on the reserve. Night drives and walking safaris can also be arranged on the Ongava reserve, and tracking rhino on foot is a highlight. Guests can see a wide variety of wildlife, including elephant, lion, leopard, black and white rhino, springbok, oryx, red hartebeest, black-faced impala, and kudu. Birdlife around waterholes close to Horizon by Ongava is also good with ostrich, pygmy falcon and all the raptors in abundance.
