Mfuwe Lodge

Mfuwe Lodge has a lovely setting between two lagoons in a grove of large ebony trees in Zambia’s wildlife-rich South Luangwa National Park. The location offers excellent sightings of elephants, hippo, antelopes, and buffalo in a relaxed setting. Between late September and early December, elephant families often wander through the lobby, lured by the ripening fruit on a wild mango tree.

Accommodation & Facilities
Mfuwe Lodge has 18 thatched chalets well-spaced throughout the grounds, and the exclusive two-bedroom Director’s house. Several chalets have second bedrooms for a family. The lodge has a lovely swimming pool, and a large open plan lounge, dining room and bar, all with views of the lagoons. There is also the Phil Berry photographic studio and library, a small curio shop, and the Bush-Spa which offers guests relaxing treatments with views of the lagoon.

Wildlife & Activities
Wildlife regularly seen in South Luangwa includes lion, leopard, hyena, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and wild dogs. Mfuwe Lodge offers day and night wildlife drives and walking safaris. Guests can book a private safari vehicle and guide or a specially-adapted photographic vehicle for an additional fee. The lodge also offers visits to local schools, villages, and textile companies.
