Serian’s Kimya Kimya
Serian’s Kimya Kimya has a peaceful and private setting in the Mara North Conservancy. This lovely little private camp is perched on a rock beside the Mara River with an excellent view of a well-used salt lick and drinking spot that is regularly visited by elephant, giraffe, and zebra, and plenty more. It is perfect for a family with older children or friends travelling together.
Accommodation & Facilities
Serian’s Kimya Kimya is perfect for a couple wanting peace and quiet, or a family or group of up to eight guests. It has a lovely two-storey master suite, with a spacious lounge, dining table and verandah downstairs and an en-suite double bedroom upstairs. The sides open to allow glorious panoramic views of the Mara River and Mara North Conservancy. Outside, there is a campfire, and a swing seat. A few steps away two further double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and a smaller shared lounge deck and firepit. There is a fourth tent set slightly away from the others with its own outlook over the river. Meals and drinks can be served wherever guests wish, either in the open plan lounge below the master bedroom, outside around the campfire, or out in the bush.
Wildlife & Activities
Throughout the day, zebra come down to the nearby spring for a drink, often displaced by elephants wanting to splash around in the warm water. This is an active river crossing point, and elephant and giraffe often make their way through the granite boulders to the opposite bank. Mara North Conservancy is 30,000 hectares of superb wildlife habitat, with an excellent population of lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, giraffe, hyena, cheetah, and wildebeest. Black rhino are occasionally spotted, and the bird life is prolific too. Day and night wildlife drives with an expert guide and tracker, walking safaris, bush meals, fishing, and sleep outs are among the activities on offer.
