Thornybush Game Lodge is situated on a 14,000 hectares concession in the Thornybush Nature Reserve near Hoedspruit, adjacent to Timbavati Nature Reserve and the Kruger National Park.
Accommodation & Facilities
Thornybush Game Lodge has 16 luxurious air-conditioned suites with safes, mini bars and kettles, and en-suite bathrooms with large vanity spaces, bathtubs beside the large windows, and indoor and outdoor showers. These stylish suites have extensive living areas which open out to private decks overlooking the seasonal Monwana River. The lodge has an open plan main building under a large thatched roof with inside and outside dining, a large lounge and bar, and a pool on the deck outside.
Wildlife & Activities
Thornybush Game Lodge is on a thriving private reserve which is home to an excellent wildlife population including lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo, cheetah, and wild dog. Birdwatchers can spot some of the 500 recorded species. Day and night drives with expert guides in open vehicles , offer superb sightings, while bush walks provide a closer look at the ecosystem. Day and night drives reveal different aspects of the reserve, from morning predator activity to nocturnal wildlife movements.
