Little Vundu
Little Vundu is an authentic traditional tented safari camp on the banks of the Zambezi on a private concession in Zimbabwe’s magnificent Mana Pools National Park. The camp has a beautiful wilderness setting with views across islands, grass plains, and onto the escarpment on the Zambian side of the river.
Little Vundu has just five Meru style tents, with proper beds, en-suite outside bathrooms, bucket showers, and flush loos. Meals are served outside as much as possible, and there are several large shady trees that serve as the dining room roof in the heat of the day.
Wildlife viewing at Little Vundu can be enjoyed on foot, in a canoe, from a vehicle, or indeed from the comfort of the camp itself. Guests have the company of some of the finest guides in Zimbabwe while staying here. The camp is a hive of activity during the day with animals passing through it regularly and the elephants are a treat to watch as they make their way down to drink and feed on the grassy banks in front of the camp. Activities include day and night wildlife drives in comfortable open-sided 4×4 vehicles, walking safaris with award-winning guides, canoeing down the Zambezi River, fishing off the banks of the Zambezi River and on a pontoon boat, sundowner cruises, and birdwatching.
