Mokete Camp

Mokete Camp has a prime location overlooking a waterhole in a 50,000 hectare private concession on the edge of Mbabe swamp in northern Botswana. The camp looks out over seemingly endless grassland, which supports big herds of buffalo and other wildlife.

Accommodation & Facilities
Mokete Camp has nine large safari tents on raised decks with en-suite bathrooms, private plunge pools, a retractable roof for star gazing, and air conditioning. The camp has a large central mess tent with a dining table, a lounge, a bar and a larger pool. The camp also has a sunken hide which offers an excellent view of the waterhole.

Experience & Activities
Wildlife viewing at Mokete is intense, with herds numbering tens of thousands of buffalo being hunted all day by large prides of lion. The elephant population is also big, and zebra, wildebeest, eland, hyena, roan and sable antelope, red hartebeest, and plenty more can usually be seen. Day and night wildlife drives in open-sided vehicles are an ideal way to get the best from this extraordinary habitat, and star gazing and helicopter flights (additional cost) are an ideal addition.
