Sable Alley Camp
Sable Alley Camp is located in the 200,000 hectare Khwai Private Reserve on the northern banks of the Khwai River in the north-eastern corner of the Okavango Delta. The Khwai Private Reserve borders Khwai Community Concession and the Moremi Game Reserve, and the Khwai River is the northernmost branch of the Okavango Delta.
Accommodation & Facilities
Sable Alley, which is solar powered, sits in the tree line overlooking a lagoon, raised off the ground to take in the view. The camp has twelve spacious air-conditioned tents with ensuite bathrooms, inside and outside showers, plunge pool, and large verandahs, with two of them set up as family tents accommodating two adults and two children each. The camp’s main building consists of a bar, lounge, and dining area, and has pool and viewing deck, and a campfire.
Wildlife & Activities
During game drives at Sable Alley Camp you could have excellent sightings of lion, wild dog, spotted hyena and African wild cat. The Khwai Private Reserve is home to large herds of buffalo and elephant, as well as sable and roan antelope, hippo, tsessebe, reedbuck, waterbuck and red lechwe, and the vicinity is also excellent for bird watching with around 450 species recorded.
