Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages

Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages is 20 miles from the centre of Nairobi, in the district of Karen. The cottages are set in what used to be Karen Blixen’s old coffee farm estate, at the foot of Kenya’s beautiful Ngong Hills.

Accommodation and Facilities
The lodge has 12 cottages that are set amongst the jacaranda trees in the beautiful gardens.  There are 9 one bedroom, and 3 two bedroom cottages all with en-suite bathrooms, and a shared sitting room with open fireplaces to keep guests warm during Nairobi’s chilly evenings. The lodge has an elegant and stylish restaurant and bar, and guests can enjoy a dip in the heated pool surrounded by lush gardens.

Wildlife and Activities
The fragrant and brightly coloured gardens are a great place in which to relax and spend some time, and if guests wish, there is plenty to explore on their doorstep; a golf course, horse riding, Nairobi National Park, the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the AFEW Giraffe Centre.
