Sala’s Camp

Sala’s Camp is a small, privately owned tented camp set in a shaded forest, with a remote location on the banks of the Sand River at the southern edge of the Masai Mara, with a wonderful southwards view into Tanzania and the northern Serengeti.

Accommodation & Facilities
Sala’s Camp has just seven luxurious safari tents, including two for families with two bedrooms either side of a lounge, all opening onto a private deck. The tents all have wide opening glass fronts, en-suite bathrooms, and private plunge pools. The mess tent, where home cooked food is served around a huge single-plank dining table, has a lounge, library, and research zone, and a glass front which can be fully opened to allow Africa inside. The camp has a lovely shop, a gym, and a spa.

Wildlife & Activities
Sala’s Camp is in an ideal location for drives in open vehicles to see the amazing wildlife of the Masai Mara and the Serengeti ecosystem. It is right in the path of the wildebeest when the great migration arrives from the Serengeti, and lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, hippo, and giraffe are often seen too. Guests can enjoy superb, private wildlife viewing in the company of expert guides. Breakfasts and lunches are often enjoyed in the bush, and walks in the vicinity, and lunch and beach volleyball in the riverbed are also included when conditions allow.
